Zack Snyder reveals the vulgar army of the dead joke that was just too much for Netflix
Zack Snyder is a filmmaker who believes in not taking punches. With this in mind, he has found the perfect partner in Netflix who has always believed in not captivating his content creators with creative notes or studio edits. Now Snyder is starting his new zombie franchise on Netflix Army of the Dead. In a new interview, the filmmaker revealed a rare moment of self-censorship when he decided to remove a scene from the film involving a male stripper with a battered attachment.
“We had a sequence where one of the male strippers had a huge cock with a bite … we thought that was too much.”
Despite the lack of male zombie strippers with dangling cheeks, Army of the Dead promises to add new dimensions to the zombie genre of films. In the past, Snyder has stated that he wanted to expand the categories of zombies that moviegoers have previously seen. For this purpose, Army of the Dead also offers robot zombies and animal zombies in addition to the normal human undead. And then there are the “alpha” zombies that are loud Zack Snyder pose the greatest threat to the film’s lead human roles.
“”[We] got two categories of zombies in the movie, alphas and then normal walkers. [If] They watch a zombie movie, normal walkers, it’s like a normal zombie, they move slowly. And then our alphas, which are an evolved version of zombies and zombies that have taken another step and they are a lot … they are fast and we kind of treat them like almost like wolves or like ‘they’ aren’t … they are sentient, you know what i mean? They kind of fight [in] Packs and they have a kind of packing mentality. ”
Army of the Dead has been described as a “Zombie Heist” movie in which a group of mercenaries tries to get to the heart of Las Vegas, where a large amount of money is waiting for them. Problem is, Vegas is the epicenter of a massive zombie outbreak, and the crew has less than two days to tackle the heist before the entire city is torn to pieces.
The setup for the film promises some crazy action sequences like those that Snyder makes. In another interview, the filmmaker had promised that no #ReleasetheSnyderCut campaign would be required this time around as the studio was always on board and let him fit whatever he wanted into the film, stating, “I didn’t have to fight [Netflix]. There are no other cuts in this film. You don’t have to see a bastardized version – you have to see the fantastic version first. “
It remains to be seen whether his new film will commemorate the glory days of 300 for Snyder and his fans. Directed and co-written by Zack Snyder, Dave Bautista, Garret Dillahunt, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Raúl Castillo, Tig Notaro, Theo Rossi and Ana de la Reguera. The film will be released on Netflix on May 21st. This message is from The Times.
