TV Viewers: Shark Tank Tops Night time as CBS ‘Friday Dramas All Return Down

In the latest TV show ratings, ABC’s Shark Tank, along with 3.9 million viewers, got a rating of 0.6, but that depended on its last appearance still leading Friday in the demo.

At CBS, MacGyver (4.8 mil / 0.5), Magnum PI (5.4 mil / 0.5) and Blue Bloods (6.3 mil / 0.5, TVLine reader rating “A-“) returned back with their season openers and reached all series lows. Blue Bloods was, of course, the largest audience on Friday, and all three CBS dramas topped their time periods among viewers.

Elsewhere, Fox’s Friday Night SmackDown (2 mil / 0.5) was down a tick, while the Hollywood Christmas Parade’s “Best of” special hit 590,000 and 0.1 at CW.

The Live + Same Day numbers given in our rating column do not reflect the overall performance of a program, as delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms as well as viewing outside the home is increasingly used. Instead, these numbers (Nielsen Fast Nationals, unless labeled finals) aim to merely illustrate trends or superlatives. If Happy Fun Ball starts smoking, leave immediately.
