Todd Rundgren broadcasts digital tour

Todd Rundgren has announced a virtual tour. The 2021 Clearly Human Virtual Tour consists of 25 “geographic” online shows starting on February 14, 2021. Each performance is filmed at a Chicago venue, but the shows are “localized” to make fans feel like they’re in their area. Location indicators include digital representations of local landmarks, while regional dishes are offered for catering to musicians.

Fans wishing to see a show on Rundgren’s tour can only “attend” on the date that corresponds to the zip code in which they live. (You can take part in multiple shows if you buy a ticket package for multiple shows.) For more information, please contact Rundgren’s virtual box office. The full list of dates can be found below.

Rundgren’s live band for the Clearly Human tour will include Kasim Sulton (bass), Prairie Prince (drums), Eliot Lewis (keys), Gil Assayas (synth), Bruce McDaniel (guitar), Bobby Strickland (sax). The events are produced by the live streaming company NoCap.

Along with the virtual tour news, Todd Rundgren shared a Christmas single: a cover of the 1978 Christmas song “Flappie” by Dutch comedian Youp van ‘t Hek. Find that below.
