The babysitting membership was renewed for the second season on Netflix
The clear phone rings and the news is good: the babysitting club remains open for business.
Netflix has renewed its adaptation of Ann M. Martin’s youth novels for the second season, which is expected to be released next year. The streaming service announced the extension on Wednesday. Check out the celebratory video above as the cast grooves to a new take on the classic theme song.
The series stars Sophie Grace as Kristy, Momona Tamada as Claudia, Shay Rudolph as Stacey, Malia Baker as Mary Anne and Xochitl Gomez as Dawn – also known as the precocious members of the cover business. Alicia Silverstone plays Kristy’s mother Elizabeth and Mark Feuerstein plays Elizabeth’s fiancée Watson.
The Baby-Sitters Club premiered on Netflix in July with a 10-part freshman season. TVLine’s streaming scorecard has been updated to reflect the renewal news.
