Taylor Swift confirms that Joe helped Alwyn write songs about folklore

Folklore: The Long Pond studio sessions feature performances of all the songs on Taylor Swift’s new album, which was recorded at the Hudson Valley Studio. In between songs, Taylor sits with producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner from The National and they talk about the conception of the songs and how they come together by remotely relaying music and lyrics during the quarantine. Joe Alwyn wasn’t there to make the Disney + movie (which we saw anyway), but during the conversation about “Exile” Taylor eventually confirmed that William Bowery was Joe Alwyn.

Apparently the favorite actor is pretty much the piano player, and when Taylor heard him sing the first verse of “Exile” she was “bewitched”.
