Take a look at Phoebe Bridgers, Elizabeth Warren, and others time leaping in Tenacious D’s new video

Tenacious D urges voters to “leap left” (rather than kick right) over a ridiculously star-studded cover of “Time Warp” in next week’s election. Jack Black and Kyle Gass put together video calls from high-ranking Democrats Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg, musicians Phoebe Bridgers, Karen O, Peaches and King for the cover of the Rocky Horror Show classic “Rock-y the Vote” Princess and dozen other entertainers, including Eric Andre, Sarah Silverman, John Waters, Susan Sarandon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Reggie Watts, Ilana Glazer and George Takei. Check it out below.

Tenacious D had planned to go touring swing states across the country in the fall to encourage turnout. Since the plans for the “Purple Nurple Tour – Twisting Hard to the Left” were canceled due to the pandemic, they decided to mix Halloween and election fear with the cover “Time Warp”. A limited vinyl will be sold in the band’s webstore, with the proceeds going to Rock the Vote.

Last month the duo appeared on Kimmel to give remote renditions of “Save the World” and “Post-Apocalypto Theme”.
