SNL video: Elon Musk reveals he has Asperger’s Syndrome and stops testing NBC censors during the monologue

Saturday Night Live host Elon Musk made an unexpected announcement during his opening monologue when he revealed he has Asperger’s Syndrome.

In disclosing the neurodevelopmental disorder, Musk falsely claimed that he was the first person with Asperger’s who hosts the SNL to “make history” – “or at least the first to admit it,” he said. “So I’m not going to have a lot of eye contact with the cast tonight. But don’t worry, I’m pretty good at running “human” in emulation mode. “

After setting out his vision for the future, Tesla’s CEO admitted he was a controversial choice to host NBC’s long-running sketch series. “I know that I sometimes say or post strange things [on the Internet]But that’s exactly how my brain works, ”he explained. “For everyone I’ve offended, I just want to say that I’ve reinvented electric cars and sent people to Mars on a rocket ship. Did you think I’d be a cool, normal guy too?

“Often times people are reduced to the dumbest thing they’ve ever done,” he continued, referring to his infamous dazed and confused demeanor on Joe Rogan’s podcast. “Now I keep hearing, ‘Elon Musk, all he ever does is smoke weed on podcasts. ‘Like going from podcast to podcast and illuminating the joints. It happened once. It’s like reducing OJ Simpson to “murderer”. That was once.

“Fun fact: OJ also hosted that show in ’79 and again in ’96,” he said. “Killed both times.” (In fact, Simpson hosted SNL only once in 1979.)

SNL’s decision to win Musk as one of the final hosts of the 46th season sparked internal turmoil on the late-night sketch series, following the April 24 announcement. The backlash on social media was quick – and Musk seemed to be indulging in the Hullabaloo at the time, cryptically tweeting, “Let’s find out how live Saturday Night Live really is.” The tweet sparked a reprimand from actor Bowen Yang, who commented on Instastory, “What the hell does that even mean?”

During his monologue, Musk stopped to keep his promise. “Part of the reason I’ve always loved Saturday Night Live is that it’s really live,” he said. “We’re alive now, which means I can say something really shocking … like driving a Prius.”

Thereafter, the SpaceX founder was accompanied by his mother Maye Musk, who asked her son to give her anything but Dogecoin for Mother’s Day. The piece was preceded by a Cold Open on Mother’s Day, which included musical guest Miley Cyrus and all of the mothers from SNL – which you can see here.
