Rugrats Revival will premiere in May at Paramount + – WATCH

The Rugrats are crawling back to television just before Memorial Day Weekend.

Paramount + has set a premiere date for the CG animated revival of the Nicktoon on Thursday, May 27th. The date was confirmed in a sizzling role for the recently renamed streaming service (fka CBS All Access), which features new footage of Tommy Pickles and his menacing cousin Angelica.

As previously reported, original voice actors EG Daily (Tommy), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie), Cheryl Chase (Angelica), Cree Summer (Susie) and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil) will repeat their legendary roles. New cast members include Veep trio Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky and Timothy Simons, who are supposed to speak to Chuckie’s father Chas, and Angelica’s hire Charlotte and Drew.

Other newcomers are Ashley Rae Spillers (Vice Principals) as Tommy’s mother Didi; Tommy Dewey (Casual) as Tommy’s father, Stu; Natalie Morales (dead to me) as Phil and Lil’s mother Betty; Nicole Byer (Nailed It!) As Susie’s mother Lucy; Omar Miller (The Unicorn) as Susie’s father Randy; and Michael McKean (better to call Saul) as Grandpa Lou Pickles.

“This incredibly talented group of actors offers a fresh and very funny take on these iconic roles, combining humor and heart to bring the characters to life in whole new ways,” said Liz Paulson, senior vice president of talent and casting, Nickelodeon a previous statement. Ramsey Naito, President of Nickelodeon Animation added, “The brand new Rugrats are filled with comedy, music and adventure only babies can experience, and the adult role is an integral part of the series.”
