James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem hosts NTS radio present: Hear

LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy hosted a two hour radio show on NTS yesterday, playing a selection of songs that influenced DFA. Made for the start of a Carhartt podcast series, the show features a selection of new waves and cosmics, including classics from Suicide, Terry Riley, Cabaret Voltaire and Aphrodite’s Child, as well as former DFA artist Pylon. Listen to the session on NTS.

Murphy most recently emerged from his various New York companies to support the Save Our Stages Act, an initiative designed to empower venues as the pandemic has ravaged the live music industry. Last year he opened a coffee shop in Brooklyn.
