Dancing with the Stars Ballot: Who will win the 29th season? And who ought to win?

Reigning dance with stars champion Hannah Brown will hand over the Mirrorball trophy on Monday evening – and she could very well pass it on to another Bachelorette.

Kaitlyn Bristowe, who distributed roses in season 11 of the ABC dating series, is one of four contestants to make the season 29 finale of, along with rapper Nelly, Catfish host Nev Schulman and One Day at a Time actress Justina Machado Achieve dancing. Before the show crowns a winner on Monday (ABC, 8 / 7c), we want your thoughts on which couple will – and should – emerge victorious.

Bristowe has been eerily similar to Brown last season: despite being one of the most tech-savvy amateurs since Week 1, Bristowe has been particularly harshly criticized by Judge Carrie Ann Inaba, and her midseason performances were a number of them – mostly memorable routines .

But now she seems to be peaking at just the right time thanks to a fabulous Argentine tango on Icons Night, a redeeming paso doble that was much stronger than the first time she tried the style, and a stirring contemporary piece honoring her deceased friend. Plus, Bristowe and Pro Artem Chigvintsev were never in danger of being eliminated, which could mean they have the votes to secure a win on Monday.

That said Schulman and Nelly also avoided the bottom two all season; Schulman may be the strongest all-round dancer of the season (that Black Swan routine!), But Nelly has been effectively enchanting the judges and spectators for weeks, and he appears to have strong support from the voters, despite scoring slightly fewer points than his fellow finalists .

The only finalist who was previously – in fact only last week – in danger is Machadoeven though she has performed consistently and received praise from the judges for the whole season. Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli all decided to take Machado to the final against Disney Channel star Skai Jackson, but Machado’s appearance in the bottom two positions certainly gives her an extra hurdle to make it to the final on Monday.

With such an evenly matched final four, a lot rests on each contestant’s freestyle routine, which is one of two performances they’ll be performing in the final. The other will be an encore to one of her favorite early-season performances, which ABC says has “some new creative elements.”
