Arnold Schwarzenegger Spy Journey Collection On The Approach To Netflix Someway Is not ‘True Lies 2’
Everyone’s favorite Austrian myth Arnold Schwarzenegger goes to Netflix. As reported by Deadline, the streamer has acquired the as-yet-unnamed espionage adventure series starring the legendary action star (and former governor). It’s the first time Schwarzenegger has appeared on a scripted television show as a regular series, which is of great significance to an actor who was one of the biggest box office draws of the 1980s and 1990s.
The as yet unnamed show stars Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Outsider) as father and daughter at the center of a story of global intrigue. The show is created by Nick Santorawho also created the CBS spy drama Scorpioand will serve as executive producer and showrunner for the coming year Jack Reacher show at Amazon. He and Schwarzenegger are also producers of the project David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost for the production company Skydance Television as part of a general contract with Santora. In particular, Skydance also produced Schwarzenegger’s Terminator: Dark FateThat was a pretty decent sequel to Terminator, if I’m being completely honest.
Schwarzenegger making a TV show would have been unthinkable ten years ago, but the advent of streaming and the resurgence of prestige television have all but eliminated the gap between “TV actor” and “movie star”. To put it simply, I just can’t wait to see 8 hours of a Schwarzenegger adventure show, even though I wonder how he managed to create a project about a spy and his daughter without simply doing it True lies 2. I ask for more Harry Tasker. For more Netflix news, click here to see which big filmmaker just signed a massive contract to produce content for the streamer.
