Children say the best things, just ask Amy Adams.
During an interview with Seth Meyers on November 24 with Late Night, the Arrival star admitted that she had tried out some instruments that her husband had given as a gift during the quarantine Darren Le Gallo. Despite picking up on some musical hobbies, the Oscar nominee stated that they “didn’t stick”.
“Apparently I’m a big fan of string instruments. I tried the ukulele, the mandolin,” the actress recalled. “My husband gave me this beautiful cello for Christmas a few years ago. I can’t play the cello.”
The 46-year-old announced that she had tried a popular one Billie Eilish Song once, but her 10 year old daughter Aviana Olea Le Gallo wasn’t impressed.
“I was trying to learn ‘Party Favor’ from Billie Eilish,” she said. “And my daughter said, ‘Yeah, you can’t – you can’t sing Billie Eilish.'”
As for the reason for the ambitious cello gift, Amy told the host Seth Meyers that her husband supported her passion for string instruments, which she “cannot play”.
